The Yunlin County Government used idle government buildings to establish the center of Douliu Social Welfare Service and Parent-Child. The Yunlin County Audit Office conducted an audit and found that the improper pre-assessment work of the project resulted in postponing the operation schedule. After the Yunlin County Audit Office notified the Yunlin County Government to improve, the center has been operated so that it will be providing social welfare services and childcare resources for the public.
The Taitung County Audit Office conducted the audit for the imposition of land value tax of Taitung County Government’ s Tax Bureau and found that some of the imposition cases were not based on actual usage of the property. After the office called for improvements, the bureau has identified and corrected the tax registration records, levied more than NT$1.6 million supplementary or revised land value tax, and established a horizontal coordination mechanism to strengthen the inspections of taxation operations, so as to maintain equity in taxation.
The Agriculture Bureau of Taichung City Government promoted the plan for the recycling of livestock waste. The Taichung City Audit Division conducted an audit and found that several livestock farms that raise more than 1,000 pigs in Taichung City had not yet submitted the plan for implementing liquor and fiber digestate as fertilizer for farmlands, and the effectiveness of irrigating farmlands with livestock waste needed to be improved. After the division called for improvements, the number of livestock farmers participating and the amount of irrigation have increased, reducing the impact of livestock waste on the environment.
