The Environmental Protection Bureau of the Taichung City Government monitored and tested the water quality of rivers to evaluate the effectiveness of river and regional drainage pollution control. The Taichung City Audit Division conducted an audit and found that the bureau did not take hexavalent chromium as one of its monitoring and testing items and did not establish the mechanism for reporting abnormal quality of water. After the division called for improvements, hexavalent chromium was included in the items, and the mechanism for reporting was established to ensure the safety of food for the public.

The Hsinchu City Audit Office conducted an audit on the management of the Longshan Comprehensive Building administered by the Hsinchu City Government. The office found that some floors of the building originally used for a market and commercial activities were idle for a long time resulting from changes in consumption habits and transfer of population. After the office called for improvements, the building was revitalized as the Longshan Branch of the Hsinchu City Library.

The Education Bureau of the Kaohsiung City Government conducted a new construction plan of the Shihjia Junior High School’s kindergarten buildings. The Kaohsiung City Audit Division conducted an audit and found that the opening of the kindergarten was behind schedule because the construction tender repeatedly failed to proceed and the schedule of material import and construction was affected by COVID-19. After the division called for improvements, the bureau urged the contractor to speed up the construction and conducted interior decoration and equipment procurement simultaneously. The kindergarten began operating to create a friendly environment for children education.
