In order to enhance the safety of fire prevention and evacuation in social welfare institutions for the elderly and the disabled, the Ministry of the Interior revised Subparagraph 2, Paragraph 1, Article 99-1, Building Design and Construction Chapter of the Building Technical Regulation on November 31, 2012. However, the regulation was only applicable to newly institutions established after 2013, and existing welfare institutions and nursing homes for the elderly were not subject to the above-mentioned article. After the NAO called for improvements, the department revised the Article 86 of the regulation on January 19, 2021, which come into force on July 1, 2021, to strengthen the function of smoke intrusion prevention for bedrooms of social welfare institutions.
The National Performing Arts Center conducted a new revision plan for the ticketing system of the National Theater and Concert Hall. After the Audit Division on Education and Agriculture conducted an audit and found that some functions of the new system still needed to be improved or optimized after it began operation. After the division called for improvements, the center accomplished the improvement and optimization for the new ticketing system, providing users with better services and experiences.
In order to preserve and develop the culture of indigenous peoples, the Taichung City Government’s Indigenous Peoples Commission set up the Taichung City Integrated Service Center in Daya District to facilitate the public to visit and travel. After the Taichung City Audit Division conducted an audit and found that the center did not set up the preservation and management system and regulations for cultural relics, and no relevant regulations to follow for the storage process of cultural relics. After the division called for improvements, the commission set up a preservation policy and the related operational regulation, completed the grading assessment for 199 cultural relics, and repositioned the center as the Taichung City Indigenous Peoples Culture Museum to actively plan the preservation and exhibition strategy. The museum won the highest rating “excellent” among national indigenous peoples culture museums in 2020, which was evaluated by the Council of Indigenous Peoples.
