The New Taipei City Audit Division found out that “The Inspection and Control Plan of Noise Pollution Sources” carried out by the Environment Protection Department of the New Taipei City Government was not so effective. Thus the number of unqualified noise pollution cases grew annually, and which affected the quality of citizens’ lives. After the division called for improvements, the department strengthened the control and inspections of noise to eliminate public nuisance and to maintain the quality of citizens’ lives.

The Taichung City Audit Division found out that there were some serious deficiencies in the improvement construction of the Huludun Park carried out by the Fengyuan District Office of the Taichung City Government. The office did not conduct geological prospecting, which resulted in an increase of NT$5.79 million, a delay of 180 days, and inconsistency of the X-shape cable-stayed bridge design drawing. After the division reported it to the Control Yuan, the Control Yuan proposed corrective measures to the Taichung City Government and the Fengyuan District Office.

The Chiayi City Audit Office found out that the Finance and Taxation Bureau of Chiayi City Government contracted the collection of vehicle license tax to the third party, and which brought extra cost by paying agency fees in accordance with the contract. After the office called for reexamination of the cost and benefit related to the outsourcing operation, the bureau has taken back the operation since January 2018 to lower the cost of collection.
