At the invitation of the National Audit Office (NAO), the Comptroller General of the Republic of Guatemala Mr. Carlos Mencos, accompanied by the Director of Cooperation and Interinstitutional Relations Mrs. Lucrecia Lima, visited Taiwan from April 22 to April 28, 2018. Auditor General Lin received them with a welcome from the Joy Choir and awarded Mr. Mencos a Certificate of Honor to recognize his contribution to bilateral relations between NAO and CGC. Mr. Mencos then gave a presentation entitled “The Evolution of Comptroller General of Accounts (CGC) of the Republic of Guatemala 2015 - 2018” at the NAO Training Center. During their visits, they also visited the Control Yuan and exchanged best practices and audit experiences in round table meetings hosted by the Audit Division on Education & Agriculture, the Hsinchu County Audit Office, and the Hsinchu City Audit Office.
