The National Audit Office (NAO) found out that as of December 31, 2016, local governments designated 1,056 storage areas for emergency goods and 5,937 evacuation shelters in accordance with the Disaster Prevention and Rescue Operational Plan, and 31 storage areas and 1,151 evacuation shelters of which either didn’t implement fire and safety inspections or comply with the regulations after undertaking inspections. After the NAO called for improvements, the deficiency has been corrected by removing part of the places, completing inspections, appropriating budget annually for improvements by local governments, or changing into temporary shelters after taking assessments.

The National Audit Office (NAO) conducted an audit and found out that the Credit Departments of Farmers’ and Fishermens’ Associations’ anti-money laundering regulations didn’t conform to relative International Standards. After the NAO called the Bureau of Agricultural Finance for improvements, the bureau set up the Regulations Governing Anti-Money Laundering of Agricultural Financial Institutions, related norms, and Directions Governing Internal Control System of Countering Terrorism Financing to maintain financial stability and to reinforce national anti-money laundering system.

The New Taipei City Audit Division found out that the Department of Health of New Taipei City asked food business to register business information on the Food and Medical Business Registration Platform, managed by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the number of registration didn’t meet annual targets set up by the FDA. After the division called for improvements, the department reinforced registrations of food business to achieve the annual targets and to fulfill food products source management.
