The National Audit Office (NAO) conducted an audit on the basis of Paragraph 2, Article 56 of the Labor Standards Act and found out that some government business units did not allocate enough money for Labor Pension Fund with a total shortage of more than NT$100 billion. After the NAO informed the Ministry of Labor to require local governments reinforcing inspections and counselling and also diclosed this audit finding in the 2015 Annual Audit Report. Based on this report, the Control Yuan carried out an investigation and come out with corrective measures to the Ministry of Labor and related agencies in June 2017.
The New Taipei City Audit Division found out that percentages of children aged 6 months to three, children aged three to the age of school, people aged over 65 years who received free influenza vaccine, promoted by the Department of Health of the New Taipei City Government, were under expectation. After the Division called for improvement, the department made efforts to promote influenza vaccinations in places where activities were held for the elderly and in health care organizations. The related information was also spread through big events for children and press conference to enhance influenza prevention effectiveness, to protect the health of the elderly and children, and to comply with policies of disease prevention.
The Miaoli County Audit Office found out that in recent years the Miaoli County Fire Bureau did not implement enough educational training for Intermediate Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT-2) so that some of the technicians whose training hours did not achieve the legal standard, and even more their certificates were expired or will be expired, resulting an impact on emergency medical services. After the office called for improvement, the bureau strengthened the management of educational training to guarantee the quality of emergency medical services.
