The Controller General of the Republic of Paraguay, Dr. José Enrique García Ávalos, accompanied by a member of his staff, Dr. César Bernardino Núñez Alarcón, made an official visit to the National Audit Office (NAO) from July 22 to 28.The Auditor Gerneral, Dr.Lin, accompanied by officials of the NAO, received the guests and introduced the government auditing system, revolutionary changes to auditing and outlook of the NAO to the guests in person. Then Dr. García shared his experiences with the auditors of the NAO. During their stay in Taiwan, Dr. García and Dr. Núñez visited the Control Yuan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Justice, and other agencies in Tainan, such as the Tainan City Audit Division, and Kaohsiung. Dr. García said that he not only gained a further understanding on the mandates of the NAO but was very impressed by the innovations promoted by the NAO and the sociocultural aspects of Taiwan, and he hopes to maintain a closer relationship with the NAO in the future.
