Directions for Promoting the Use of Incinerating Recycled Aggregate

The Agriculture and Food Agency of the Council of Agriculture established an information system called Uber-for-Agricultural-Machinery Platform to help farmers access the information about agricultural machinery farming services. After the Audit Division on Education and Agriculture conducted an audit and found that some information of subsidizing large agricultural machinery was not published on the platform for farmers to apply. After the division called for improvements, the agency made the complete information about agricultural machinery public and revised the Agricultural Machinery Subsidies Implementation Plan, facilitating the objective of matching agricultural machinery for local farmers.

The Hualien County Audit Office conducted an audit and found that the Hualien County Government, accepting an appeal against illegal establishment of the Eden Paradise Columbarium in November 2012, did not follow up the progress of the columbarium’s legalization and cessation of operation and dispose it in accordance with the law, resulting in violators selling storage units continuously. Though the Civil Affairs Department of the government found that the columbarium was built from a farmhouse, violating the Agricultural Development Act and the Building Act, it  only took actions to dispose it in accordance with the Mortuary Service Administration Act and did not examine the facts of violations and take actions to discuss the resolution with relevant authorities. After the office called for improvements and reported it to the Control Yuan, corrective measures were proposed to the government by the yuan.

The Taipei City Government promoted the reuse of incinerating recycled aggregate. After the Taipei City Audit Division conducted an audit and found that the government did not conform to the regulation made by Environmental Protection Administration to set up a rule for the percentage of recycled aggregate used in public constructions. After the division called for improvements, the government set up “Directions for Promoting the Use of Incinerating Recycled Aggregate” in order to fulfill the vision of maximizing resource recycling and minimizing waste disposal.
