In order to improve air quality, the Environmental Protection Department, New Taipei City Government, took measures of inspection and suppression of highly polluting mobile sources. The New Taipei City Audit Division found that the department had delayed the establishment of air quality maintenance zones, which was required by the related regulation, to control the entry of highly polluting first and second stage diesel vehicles into areas with high concentrations of air pollution, resulting in poor air quality improvement performance. After the division called for improvements, the department launched an Air Quality Maintenance Areas and the Implementation of Mobile Pollution Measure, designated the road around the port of Taipei as an air quality maintenance area, and strengthened the inspection and suppression operations of the area.

The Department of Transportation, Taoyuan City Government collects parking fee and manages street parking spaces in Taoyuan City. According to the audit conducted by the Taoyuan City Audit Division, motorcycle parking spaces in some sections of roads in Taoyuan City had been out of service for a long time, leading to a shortage of parking spaces and illegal parking. An improvement was requested and the management of parking fee was implemented in some sections of roads with serious violations to improve the parking order of motorcycles.

The Hualien County Government manages the Nanbin Pumping Station in Hualien City. The Hualien County Audit Office found that the station is responsible for the pumping and drainage function of Hualien City. However, the office found that capacity of the station’s pumping vehicles was insufficient to meet the demand for flood prevention when typhoons invade. After the office called for improvements, the measure of expansion was taken to improve the effectiveness of pumping and drainage function and enhance the security of residents' lives and properties.
