The Kukmin Daily Anti-corruption Delegation led by Mr. Byun, Chairman of the Kukmin Daily, visited the Training Center of the National Audit Office (NAO) in the afternoon of September 18. The Deputy Auditor General Ms. Wang welcomed the distinguished guests on behalf of the NAO and hosted a seminar, in which Director Lee and Section Chief Lee gave presentations of “Taiwan Anti-corruption Policy—Taking government procurement as an example” and “Government Audit and Actions Against Corruption in Taiwan” respectively. During the discussion, participants exchanged views regarding independence of auditing, collaborations between the NAO and judicial offices, applications of big data techniques in auditing, and the relief system of government procurements. The event facilitated visitors to understand anti-corruption measures taken by the R.O.C. Government and the NAO’s advanced auditing practices.
