The Hsinchu City Audit Office found out that the Bureau of Environmental Protection of the Hsinchu City Government didn’t tighten Effluent Standards to protect the water body in the national Shiangshan Wetland Protection Area. After the office called for improvements, the bureau published and implemented related standards to maintain water quality and ecosystem of the wetland.

The Changhua County Audit Office found out that the Lukang Old Street Visitor Center, managed by the Lukang Township Office, didn’t offer traveling information services as planned, resulting in a failure to provide advisory services for tourists and a lack of efficiency in the use of public facilities. After the Office called for improvements, the government contracted operational management of the center and organized related activities to attract tourists and to increase efficiency in the use of public facilities.

The Yunlin County Audit Office found out that most of the landscape lights along the Gukeng Green Tunnel Cycle Path were stolen; however, the Yunlin County Government didn’t taken actions on this situation and maintain sur\rounding environment, resulting in a lack of night lighting installation and the sides of the path were weedy. After the office called for improvements, the government installed street lights, reinforced road inspections, and maintained the environment to increase safety of the environment for sports and leisure.
