New Taipei Enhances Childcare Services to Bridge Resource Gaps and Create Family-Friendly Environments
The New Taipei City Government Department of Social Affairs has established public childcare centers.
Following an audit by the New Taipei City Audit Office, it was found that the number of children waiting to be enrolled in public childcare centers remained high. Moreover, some administrative districts lacked public childcare facilities, as well as private childcare services and caregivers, resulting in an uneven distribution of childcare resources. After being requested to improve the situation, the Department of Social Affairs has gradually increased childcare resources to create a more childcare-friendly environment.
